*claps* Cool poem, Elessar! You should write a tune to it. Don't be embarassed. Here's mine:
Alas For The Elves
Immortal and wisest, people of trees, Have now sailed across the Sundering seas. You have now gone, but your memory not, You may still live in the hearts you have caught.
Legolas Greenleaf, your hair was blond, You wandered to Rivendell, Helm’s Deep, and beyond. Your arrow’s deadly aim made your enemies flinch, Legolas Greenleaf, Mirkwood’s prince.
Queen Galadriel, your crown so bright, You gave Frodo the Halfling your gift of light. Your realm of Lorien, mysterious and fair, Was the Lady of Light’s magical lair.
Alas for the Elves, the immortal Elves, For it is not in this world that you now dwell. No one will forget your beautiful ease, Alas for the Elves, they have gone over the seas.

Well, here's a short little song I wrote, it's probably dumb but I just did it because I needed a quick song for someone to be singing in my book.
Galaduin's Lament
I met thee in the morning, In the pale light of dawn so fair. The gleam of the last star smiled on thee, But there lay my despair.
You took me away then to The fair land by the sea, my love, It seemed as a life so perfect then, But shadow it was of.
One night as I lay sleeping, You quietly slipped away from me. I knew as the sun went from the sky It was the last of thee.
May also made up a good tune for it, but obviously I can't post that, which is annoying because it's half the effect.
Me and May made up a world and there are a bunch of Elf-Angel sort of people, we call them Huin-Tu-Cheb which means They-That-Keep, and they were guardians of stuff in their world. Well, two of them had a daughter named Galadae, and she married an Elf ( ) and their daughter was Galaduin. Then Galaduin married a Man, and this song is about him. In the last verse it was about when he died, because Galaduin was like immortal and he wasn't. Isn't it sad?
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight Mist and shadow, cloud and shade Hope shall fade, all shall fade.

A strong breeze blows through the corn rows And the husks rustle in its swift embrace Ceres mournfully sits down upon the earth Grieving Proserpine’s early sojourn with Pluto The leaves, past their prime, gently float away Reapers gather grain and barley Harvest is plentiful Store up for later days, they brood in unison Cold days will come swiftly But Proserpine will not come Frigus … cold of winter Veris … the spring Aestas … the summer Autumnus … welcome autumn
